DO NOT USE GPS UNTIL YOU EXIT THE NORTHWAY IN WARRENSBURG EXIT 23 OR YOU WILL GET LOST.
GPS will try and tell you to exit earlier, DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO ADD 2 HOURS TO YOUR TRIP. When you exit at #23 Warrensburg, you can then type in 1203 Harisburg Road and it will take you all the way up to Tall Pine Road. Take a Right at Tall Pine Rd, go 500 feet to end, left on Lakeview west, Bear Country Lodge is on right.

TALL PINE ROAD, BEAR COUNTRY ROAD, AND LAKEVIEW WEST ARE PRIVATE ROADS AND DO NOT SHOW UP ON GPS.
Bear Country Lodge is located on Harrisburg Lake at 13 Lake View West, Stony Creek, New York 12878. The resort is accessible by air from Albany International Airport, NY, Burlington International Airport, VT, Montreal International Airport, Canada, by Amtrak Train from New York City and Montreal, and by automobile via Interstate 87 (the Northway). We are within a short drive of most Mid-Atlantic, New England, Quebec and Ontario Province metropolitan areas.

From New York City

Print Directions Distance: 250 miles Time: 4-4 1/2 hours From Manhattan, take the George Washington Bridge to New Jersey and proceed to the Palisades Parkway north to the New York State Thruway (I-87). Take I-87 north to Albany, Exit 24. Immediately after the toll booth, take Exit 1N (I-87 North to Montreal). Continue north on I-87 for approximately 65 miles to Warrensburg Exit 23 . Take a left off the exit ramp and go to the stop light where you will see a sign that says Stony Creek, take a right, RT9 , proceed approximately 2 miles to the third traffic light and you will see another sign saying Stony Creek 12 miles, take a left, go over the bridge and then turn right immediately, this is RT 418, follow 418, you will go over another bridge and the Hudson river, shortly after you cross over the bridge you will have to take a right or left, TAKE A SHARP LEFT. Continue on this road for approximately 8 miles, you will pass Thousand Acres Ranch, you will then come to downtown Stony Creek, you will see “The Stony Creek Inn” to your left, turn right at the 4 corners which is Harrisburg RD, Follow Harrisburg Road for approximately 10 miles, you will see a sign along the way Bear Country Lodge 8 miles, you will come up a hill and see on the left “The Lodge at Harrisburg Lake”, just before that on the right you will see Tall Pines road, there is a brown building with a red/rust colored roof on it, take a right, follow 500 FT, you will see a sign in the field that says “Welcome to Bear Country Lodge” for check in, continue to the end of the road to Lake View West, take a left, “Bear Country Lodge” is on the right.

Alternate Route from New York City

Print Directions Take the Major Deegan Expressway to I-87 north and cross the Hudson River via the Tappan Zee Bridge. Proceed north on I-87 (New York State Thruway) to Albany Exit 24 and immediately after the toll booth take Exit 1N (I-87 north to Montreal). Continue north on I-87 for approximately 65 miles to Warrensburg Exit 23 . Take a left off the exit ramp and go to the stop light where you will see a sign that says Stony Creek, take a right, RT9 , proceed approximately 2 miles to the third traffic light and you will see another sign saying Stony Creek 12 miles, take a left, go over the bridge and then turn right immediately, this is RT 418, as you follow this road, you will come to a steel bridge which crosses over the Hudson river, shortly after you cross over the bridge you will then take a sharp left. From Westchester County

Continue on this road for approximately 8 miles until you come to downtown Stony Creek, you will see “The Stony Creek Inn” to your left, turn right at the 4 corners which is Harrisburg RD, Follow Harrisburg Road for approximately 10 miles, You should see a sign along the way that says, Bear Country Lodge 8 miles, you will come up a hill, on the left you will see “The Lodge at Harrisburg Lake “, just before that you will see Tall Pines Road take a right, there is a building with a new red/rust colored roof right on the corner, when you take that right go approximately 500 ft, you will see a sign in the field that says “Welcome to Bear Country Lodge”. For check in continue to end of road to Lake View West, take a left, “Bear Country Lodge” is on the right.

From Boston

Print Directions Approximately 4 1/2 hours Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) West towards Albany. After toll, continue to follow signs for New York State Thruway/I-87. Take NYS Thruway north to Albany Exit 24. Immediately after toll, take Exit 1N (I-87 North to Montreal). Continue north on I-87 for approximately 65 miles to Warrensburg Exit 23 . Print Directions Distance: 190 miles Time: 3 hours Take Route 15 south to the border. Take I-87 south to Warrensburg exit 23. Take a right off the exit ramp and go to the stop light where you will see a sign that says Stony Creek, take a right, RT9 , proceed approximately 2 miles to the third traffic light and you will see another sign saying Stony Creek 12 miles, take a left, go over the bridge and then turn right immediately, this is RT 418, as you follow this road, you will come to a steel bridge which crosses over the Hudson river, shortly after the bridge you will then take a sharp left. Print Directions Distance from Buffalo: 360 miles Time: 6 hours Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) East to Albany exit 24. Go north on the Adirondack Northway (I-87) and get off at Warrensburg, exit 23. Take a left off the exit ramp and go to the stop light where you will see a sign that says Stony Creek, take a right, RT9 , proceed approximately 2 miles to the third traffic light and you will see another sign saying Stony Creek 12 miles, take a left, go over the bridge and then turn right immediately, this is RT 418, as you follow this road, you will come to a steel bridge which crosses over the Hudson river, shortly after the bridge you will then take a sharp left. Continue on this road for approximately 8 miles until you come to downtown Stony Creek, you will see “The Stony Creek Inn” to your left, turn right at the 4 corners which is Harrisburg RD, Follow Harrisburg Road for approximately 10 miles, you will see a sign along the way that says Bear Country Lodge 8 miles, you will come up a hill, on the left you will see “The Lodge at Harrisburg Lake”, just before that on the right you will see Tall Pines road, there is a brown building with a red/rust colored roof on the corner take a right, you will see a sign in the field that says “Welcome to Bear Country Lodge” , for check in go to the end of the road, you will see Lake View West, take a left, “Bear Country Lodge” is on the right.

From the Sagamore Hotel

Print Directions Time: Approximately 45 minutes. Turn left onto Route 9, proceed about 5 miles to Diamond Point. At Diamond Point, turn right at the old stone church onto the Diamond Point Road which is also Route 35. Drive about 4 miles until you reach Route 87 and Route 9. Turn right onto Route 9 and proceed approximately 2 miles to the third traffic light and you will see another sign saying STONY CREEK 12 MILES, take a left, go over the bridge and then turn right immediately, this is RT 418, as you follow this road, you will come to a steel bridge which crosses over the Hudson river, shortly after the bridge you will then take a SHARP LEFT. Continue on this road for approximately 8 miles until you come to downtown Stony Creek, you will see “The Stony Creek Inn” to your left, TURN RIGHT AT THE 4 CORNERS which is HARRISBURG RD, Follow Harrisburg Road for approximately 10 miles, you will see a sign along the way that says Bear Country Lodge 8 miles, you will come up a hill, on the left you will see “The Lodge at Harrisburg Lake”, just before that on the right you will see TALL PINES ROAD. There is a brown building with a red/rust colored roof on the corner, take a right, you will see a sign in the field that says, “Welcome to Bear Country Lodge” for check in follow road to end, you will see LAKE VIEW WEST, take a left, “Bear Country Lodge” is on the right. Time: Approximately 35 minutes.
